Web Design and Consulting

What is Web Design? It is the process of designing a set of connected web pages (via hyperlinks).

What to look for... You want a presence online, that is a given. But you want it to look professional, with a consistent look throught the site. Remember, the site is representing your business to online customers. You want easy-to-use navigation. You don't want want to have to make the user "think" too much, or he/she may very well click onto some other, easier to use site.

Websites are the cheapest form of advertising and are available 24/7 to the whole world. Once your site is designed, you pay only renewal fees for domain registration and hosting. This is a nominal annual fee, usually around $125. Much cheaper than the newspaper, magazines, or TV.

Of course, if you make changes to your pages, that would be an additional fee, payable at an hourly rate. To make a small text change, such as address or phone, it would take less than 1/2 hour. To add a new page, time spent could range from 1 to 3 hours on average. This does not include database or PHP custom programming. That takes considerably longer. Pricing details will be discussed after our first consultation (which is free).

Take a look at some of our other sites we have done recently:

Positive Paws in Fort Dodge provides positive reinforcement-based training as well as numerous free articles on dog behavior for download.
Sattva Vital Health in Southington, CT - won "Best Site" design award from the Hartford Courant in 2005.
Tiny Tie Dye in Fort Dodge, IA - sells tie dye baby clothes.
Employment Choices in Bristol, CT - Brian Chapman, the owner states that around 50% of his new clients now come from the web site.
Roger's Orchards in Southington, CT - this site was originally designed by Davies Consulting, but was subsequently re-designed after we moved to Iowa, as the owner wanted someone local.
