The Process
- We first sit down at our initial consultation. This service is free. The customer relates his/her needs and we will explain our tentative solution with an estimated cost.
- Gather information about your business. This includes any logos, colors, font styles you may already use. It also includes any printed material you may have such as brochures, awards, press, etc. And finally the customer must ultimately provide the text content that they want on the site.
- The design process is next. This can be somewhat time consuming. It depends on how much customization one desires and how complex the photography integration and graphics manipulation may be. Most sites can be completed within 1-3 weeks.
- Implementation is the process in which we upload and test all the pages and the buttons, links, logic, and programming on the production server. This is also the step in which we register your domain name and set up your hosting account on the server in Boston. Additionally, we will set up all your email accounts at this time.
- Verification - the customer then looks at the site and gives feedback. Changes are made if necessary. The site then "goes live" and the site is officially finished. A "site tutorial" will be provided to the customer to familiarize them how the site works and how to access email.
- Maintenance - Although the site is finished, inevitably there will be changes that need to be made as time goes on. You may have a simple change, like an address or phone number. Or, you may desire additional page(s) to reflect your growing business. This is charged at an hourly rate of $45/hour.
Optionally, you may desire some of our other services during the process such as designing a logo, business cards, letterhead, etc.
